MINC ID

The Medical Identification Number for Canada (MINC) is a unique lifetime identifier assigned to each individual who enters the Canadian medical education or practice system. As of the 2021 match cycle, the MINC has become mandatory for the CaRMS application process as it provides a seamless and secure way of verifying and processing applicant information and documentation.

You can find your MINC in your CMQ account. For more information, see the CMQ's page on the MINC (available in French only).

You can also view more information on the CaRMS help page about the MINC.
