Investigators interested in establishing a new Core Facility within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences (FMHS) are required to adhere to the University’s Policy on Research Entities. The related Procedures for Core Facilities include guidelines for governance and the application filing form for new core facilities, including a comprehensive Business Plan, which must undergo review by the FMHS Committee for the Oversight of Shared Research Resource Facilities (COSRRF) and receive approval from the Dean of FMHS, and subsequent submission to the Office of the Vice President of Research and Innovation (VPRI).
Please use the Business Plan template (Core Facilities) and the Appendix template for Business Plan (Core Facilities), and send the completed documents to the Faculty's Research Office via riac.med [at] mcgill.ca.
COSRRF will assess the new unit's fit to the Faculty's current portfolio of core facilities and its alignment with the Faculty’s Strategic Research Plan.
