Device Development

The device development group designs and constructs novel systems for radiotherapy dosimetry and imaging applications in collaboration with engineers and industrial partners. Examples of current projects include a beta/positron detector to be used for kinetic modeling during PET scans, novel graphite and water calorimeters for absolute radiation dosimetry, and development of novel in vivo dosimetry systems based on interferometry, Cherenkov radiation, and radiation-induced acoustic waves.
