Mining and Materials Engineering Graduate Student Association (MMGESA)

Constitution

President

The official representative of MMGESA, the President is responsible for all official correspondence with external entities. Additionally, the President produces and maintains all records or procedures and documentation relating to the Association’s activities.

VP Finance

The VP Finance ensures all financial transactions respect the Association’s approved budget, maintains financial records for auditing purposes and prepares the final annual financial statement.

VP Activities

The VP Activities plans and executes social events and activities for the Association’s membership, ensuring they follow all applicable rules and laws. In addition, the VP Activities maintains a record of attendance to various events and activities, ensuring that participation for both Mining and Materials is proportional.

VP Mining

The VP Mining acts as a representative of the Association’s members belonging to the Mining Engineering unit and plans and executes activities for these members.

VP Materials

The VP Materials acts as a representative of the Association’s members belonging to the Materials Engineering unit and plans and executes activities for these members.

VP Postdocs

The VP Postdocs acts as a representative of the Association’s Postdoc members and plans and executes activities for these members.

PGSS Councilors

The PGSS Councilors attend the Post-Graduate Student’s Society of McGill University’s council meetings, on which the Association’s members have the right to representation. The PGSS Councilors receive periodic reports from MMGESA council members to guide their vote at council meetings, and will in turn provide periodic reports on the council’s activities and decisions.

AGSEM Delegate

The AGSEM Delegate attends the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill’s Delegate Council meetings, on which the Association’s members have the right to representation. The AGSEM Delegate receives periodic reports from MMGESA council members to guide their vote at delegate meetings, and will in turn provide periodic reports on AGSEM’s activities and decisions.
