Buckthorn control effort Photo: Tom Kingsbury

The Arboretum always needs Friends who can lend a few hours to help with the many small (and sometimes not so small) tasks that keep the place running and for which our permanent staff are insufficient in number.

Some of the areas in which you may want to get involved are:

  • Gatekeeping and Clerical Duties
  • Trail Clearing and Signage
  • Control of Invasive Species
  • Bird Feeding
  • Snowshoe and Cross-Country Ski Patrol
  • Building Maintenance
  • Public Event Organization and Support
  • Educational Tour Support
  • Translation and Revision (French and English)
  • Stuffing envelopes
  • Photography

If you can offer your help with any of these things, please contact us to express your interest and discuss opportunities at 514-398-7811 or morgan.arboretum [at] mcgill.ca
