Dr. Dilson Rassier

Dilson Rassier is currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Education,  at McGill University. He holds a Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Muscle Biophysics and is a Professor within the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Additionally, Dr. Rassier has numerous research affiliations, including associate membership in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, as well as in the Departments of Physiology and  Physics at McGill University. He is also an associate member in Meakins-Christie Laboratories.

Dr. Rassier began his academic journey by earning a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at the Federal University of Pelotas in Brazil. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. in Muscle Physiology from the University of Calgary in 1998. Dr. Rassier has extensive research experience, having completed four years of postdoctoral training at the University of Calgary, followed by an additional year at the University of Washington.
