The Neuro Supports the Open COVID Pledge

Published: 9 April 2020

The Neuro proudly supports the Open COVID Pledge, which calls on academic institutions, industry, and other organizations to make their intellectual property available free of charge for use in ending the COVID-19 pandemic and minimizing its impact.

As the world’s first Open Science institution, The Neuro is committed to the open exchange of ideas, technologies and resources, in order to remove barriers to discovery.

Whether it is openly sharing scientific papers, data, testing protocols, equipment, or expertise, the world is recognizing the importance of giving those battling COVID-19 free and open access to every tool they need. World-leading IP holders, including Intel and Unified Patents, have already taken the pledge. We salute them for doing so.

The power and value of Open Science is evident during the pandemic. It is time remove barriers for the sake of this global cause. In contributing even in some small way, to ending this threat, we can all take pride in knowing we did all we could.

We invite others to support this important initiative to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
