Launch of Dr. Charles R. Drew Graduate Fellowships at McGill

Thursday, June 3, 2021 16:30to17:30

SAVE THE DATE: Launch of Dr. Charles R. Drew Graduate Fellowships at McGill

Please join us on Thursday, June 3 at 4:30 p.m. for the inauguration of McGill University’s Dr. Charles R. Drew Graduate Fellowships.

Named in honour of McGill alumnus Dr. Charles R. Drew (MDCM ’33), the “Father of Blood Banking,” these fellowships will support graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities to pursue graduate work at McGill. This is an initiative that advances several of McGill’s commitments set out in its 2020 Action Plan to Address Anti-Black Racism.

The June 3 event will see a tribute to Dr. Drew’s legacies led by the leadership of McGill and Howard Universities. It will also feature a panel discussion with McGill students and Dr. Charlene Drew Jarvis: educator, politician, scientific researcher and daughter of Charles Drew.

Please hold the date for this very special event.
