Oral and Maxillofacial Oncology Registry

The maxillofacial oncology registry is a searchable database designed to collect information including socio-demographic, behavioral factors (e.g., smoking, alcohol, sexual), family history of cancer, type of cancer and treatment rendered on patients diagnosed with cancer of the oral cavity.  The aim of constructing this comprehensive database is to retrospectively search for trends and potential correlations between risk factors/disease behaviors/pathologic staging and clinical outcomes.  The database consists of over 200 data points that are each correlated to a patient’s specific outcome in an unidentifiable and anonymous manner.  Our ultimate goal with this registry is to potentially find variables that can be studied in a prospective and randomized fashion, in order to improve outcomes for our patients with this disease.
