Biography: Jasmine Parent grew up in a small-town on the south shore of the Gaspe Peninsula, Miguasha. She moved to Montreal to study her first passion, Human Nutrition, at McGill in 2008. Upon completing her master's in nutrition in 2015, she began working as a part-time course assistant at TLS on a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Sports Science and Nutrition. Initially, this was meant to be a stepping stone before graduating. However, this position began her professional journey in her second passion, Education Technology and Instructional Design.

In 2018, Jasmine began a master's in Education with the University of British Columbia. Soon after she began a full-time position as a Learning Technology Consultant at TLS. She currently works hard to support faculty in the use of learning technologies and various course design projects. As a new member of the OSE team, she is grateful to have the opportunity to combine her passions of science and education technology to support teaching and learning initiatives at McGill. In her spare time, you will find her cooking, hiking or practicing yoga.
