Welcome to the Phytotron

Welcome to the Phytotron

The McGill University Phytotron was designed and built during the period 1985-1987 as a centre for research in experimental plant biology. Officially opened in March 1988, the facility brings together a combination of growth chambers and greenhouse compartments to provide a diverse array of environments for the growth of experimental plants and organisms. The Phytotron occupies the two top floors of the south block of the Stewart Biological Sciences Building and has direct access to all Biology Department laboratories and support facilities.
