2017-2018 Sessions

Professor Sandeep Banerjee, Zian Mian and Suvij Sundershan feature a selection of
Urdu, Bengali, and English poetry. Selected poems include works by Agha Shahid Ali,
N.M. Rached, Rabindranath Tagore, and Jibanananda Das.

For the November session, the spotlight falls on a selection of Romantic and modernist poetry. Readings will include selections from Keats’s letters, Anne-Lise François’s Open Secrets [1999], Richard Ellmann, The Man and the Masks [1948], and K.K. Ruthven, A Guide to Ezra Pound's Personae [1969]). Selected poems include H.D., “Hermes of the Ways,” Pound, “Exile’s Letter,” Byron, “Darkness,” Letitia Elizabeth Landon (L.E.L.), “Love’s Last Lesson.”
