GAVIN CURRIE is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of English at McGill University. He is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, with specialties in English Literature and Biology. His dissertation addresses the figure of the animal in the work of Canadian poets (c1940 – present), with an emphasis on the way in which non-human subjects inform discourses of nationalism. He is Editor-in-Chief of Scrivener Creative Review.
