- Ongoing development and use of social and environmental clauses in its calls for tenders.

- Promotion of acquisition from diverse suppliers including Indigenous suppliers and Social Economy businesses.

- Continuous training of its buyers and frontline team.

- Collaboration with faculty members to develop and carry out applied student research projects.

- Delivering training to community members through Organizational Development.
|
- Contribute to standards development (relevant NSF and ISO standards).

- Use and promotion of its Supplier Code of Conduct, and monitoring of supplier compliance with the principles contained therein.

- Collaborate in Canada-wide pan-institutional sustainable procurement initiatives.
|
- Proactive participation in developing sustainability content for province-wide group purchases.

- Support capacity building at other institutions through talks, webinars, and workshops.
