Julien Sénécal is in his second year at the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. He is graduating from the International Baccalaureate program – Health Sciences – and will be pursuing his studies at McGill University this fall. Having previously worked in a laboratory on HIV, he knows that science is his true passion and that research is the path he wants to follow. This internship will allow him to develop even stronger research and analytical skills and gain tremendous experience.
During the summer of 2015, Julien will be working on Prenatal Maternal Stress observed in three ongoing studies – Project Ice Storm (1998), Iowa Flood Study (2008) and Queensland Flood Study(2011). Drs. Suzanne King, David P. Laplante and Lei Cao will lead the internship.
Outside laboratory settings, he has a keen interest in literature, theatre and partakes in community work. Julien is also adept at biking and tennis.
