Dear members of the McGill community,
Yesterday afternoon, the Superior Court of Québec dismissed an Emergency Application to stop excavation in an area of the site of the former Royal Victoria Hospital.
Activities at the site, including the deployment of archeological techniques, will continue to be carried out in accordance with the terms of the Settlement Agreement reached among the parties last spring.
We will continue to keep the McGill community apprised of developments at the site and on our efforts.
