NSERC USRA (Undergraduate Student Research Award)


NSERC USRA's purpose is to stimulate intensive undergraduate research in natural sciences and engineering. To apply through the Psychology Department, the supervisor must be a full-time member of the Psychology Department.

SURA (Science Undergraduate Research Award)


SURA recipients will engage in full-time research and development activity under the supervision of a McGill Science professor holding grant funding. First offered in Summer 2007, SURAs are made possible by funding from generous donors, participating research supervisors, and the Faculty of Science. To apply through the Psychology Department, the supervisor must be a full-time member of the Psychology Department.

Bertha Lapitsky Award for Research in Child Development


The Bertha Lapitsky undergraduate summer research award is given for research in child development. It is open to international and Canadian students. Recipients will engage in 15 weeks (35 hours/week) of full-time research and development activity under the supervision of a Psychology professor holding grant funding. Its value is $7,000 ($4,000 from the Psychology Department and $3,000 from the supervisor). To be eligible to apply, the student must be enrolled in a major program in Psychology at McGill University and have a minimum CGPA of 3.3. The supervisor must be a full-time member of the Psychology Department and be conducting research on child development.

Judith Mappin Award for Research in Women's Health


The Judith Mappin undergraduate summer research award is given for research in women's health. It is open to international and Canadian students. Recipients will engage in 15 weeks (35 hours/week) of full-time research and development activity under the supervision of a Psychology professor holding grant funding.
