My lab primarily focuses on the roles of bio-psycho-social factors in the life course of mental health problems among populations with a particular interest in early life adversities. Together with biological factors (genetic predispositions, DNA methylations), psychosocial factors (e.g., social support, positive coping strategies, etc.) and their interplay in stress-related mental health outcomes, we aim to articulate individual and combined effects of these factors in the disease course of stress-related mental disorders by analyzing the data from our own longitudinal cohort and other national and international cohorts.
