Application Process
To apply for this program, you must submit your application by November 24, 2023. Your application file must include:

Incomplete application files will not be considered. Please read the instructions for each section of this application form carefully to ensure accuracy in your responses.
Kindly review the eligibility criteria below before proceeding with the application. These criteria are set by the program funders Universities Canada and are not negotiable.
Eligible candidates will be:

Enrolled in a McGill University degree program (bachelor's, master's, or PhD) in the Winter 2024 semester. Ideally, you will be a returning student in Fall 2024, but those graduating after the Winter 2024 semester are eligible.

Canadian citizen.

35 years old or younger at the time of their application submission.

Available to travel to St. Augustine, Trinidad for 90 days between May 1, 2024 and August 30, 2024.
Successful applicants will travel to Trinidad for 90 days to work on their projects under their University of the West Indies (UWI) supervisor and participate in community engagement activities related to community resilience in the face of the climate crisis. They will receive a stipend of $8,000 Canadian dollars to put towards their travel costs, accommodations and living expenses. Accommodations will be arranged by the Queen Elizabeth Scholars team at UWI.
