The Rossy Cancer Network held its 4th Annual Retreat at Centre Mont-Royal in Montreal on November 16, 2018 and the day was a resounding success!
Close to 210 physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, researchers and patient representatives came together to review the work undertaken in the network in the past year and to provide input on the direction of initiatives that will affect trajectories of care, surgical quality, as well as optimizing access to clinical trials and to nurse navigators (IPOs).
Guest speaker Dr. Monika Krzyzanowska from Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, chair of the 2018 ASCO Quality of Care symposium and past Clinical Lead for Quality Care and Access at Cancer Care Ontario discussed solutions for re-engineering models of care to better manage patient symptoms during treatment.
