I+P Partnership Program to help researchers partner with industry

Pilot program to offer a total of $450,000 to facilitate collaboration with Quebec industry

The Office of Innovation and Partnerships (I+P) has launched the new I+P Partnership Program, thanks to funding recently provided to McGill by the Government of Quebec’s Ministère de l’Education et de l’Enseignement Supérieur. This new McGill program, with a total envelope of $450,000, seeks to encourage collaborations and the diffusion of innovation between McGill research teams and Quebec-based companies in all disciplines.

“This is an excellent opportunity for researchers who already have strong industry connections to take their projects to the next level, or for researchers to find new partners for future long-term collaborations,” said Prof. Sylvain Coulombe, Associate Vice-Principal, Innovation and Partnerships. “Through programs like these our office will continue to support McGill professors who wish to maximize their research impact through industrial partnerships.”

Funds of up to $50,000 per project are available from I+P and require a match from the industry partner. Deadline for submissions is January 13, 2020. Complete program details are available here. The application template is available here. For more information, please contact Rina Cohen, Industry Partnerships Officer, at rina.cohen [at] mcgill.ca.
