May 2024 - Lama Iskandarani wins Best Poster or Oral Presentation Award in the Postdoctoral Fellow category for the third year in a row

Lama won Best Poster or Oral Presentation award (Postdoctoral Fellow category) for her poster entitled "High-Content Imaging Analyses of the Effects of Bisphenol S (BPS) and Bis(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) Sulfone (TGSA) on KGN Human Granulosa Cells" during the 28th Pharmacology Research Day on May 17, 2024. May 2024 - Seline Vancolen is awarded 1st Place Senior Poster Presentation Award

April 2024 - Xiaotong (Vicky) Wang - MacIntosh Prize & Nomination for the General's Gold Medal

Vicky won the department MacIntosh prize, and has been nominated for the Governor General's Gold medal. Great achievement Vicky!

April 2024 - Zixuan Li - MedStar Award

Zixuan's publication entitled “The Organophosphate Esters Used as Flame Retardants and Plasticizers Affect H295R Adrenal Cell Phenotypes and Functions”, submitted to the McGill MedStar program, has been chosen to receive a McGill MedStar Award in recognition of the excellent research she carried out in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

December 2023 - Xiaotong (Vicky) Wang - ICEDA PhD Award

Vicky is the winner of the Intersectoral Centre for Endocrine Disruptor Analysis (ICEDA) PhD Award 2023. Congratulations Vicky!

May 2023 - Braeden Giles wins Best 3-minute Flash Talk Award

Braeden won the Best 3-minute Flash Talk Award at the Pharmacology Research Day on May 11, 2023. His talk was entitled "Environmentally Relevant Mixtures of Organophosphate Esters Suppress THP-1 Macrophage phagocytosis". Congratulations Braeden!

Hales and Robaire labs, won first prize in the Réseau Québécois en reproduction (RQR) 13th Annual Symposium Poster Competition for her poster "Effects of organophosphate ester flame retardants on KGN cells, a human granulosa cell line" in recognition of the excellence of her work, presentation, and knowledge of the subject. Congratulations Vicky!

Bernard Robaire elected as a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS)

On September 18, the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) announced 77 new Fellows to its ranks, including 10 from McGill. One of the most prestigious honours in the Canadian health sciences community, election to the CAHS recognizes individuals for their leadership in and commitment to their field of expertise. Elections are based on a nominating and peer review process that seeks to recognize those who are marked by a record of substantial accomplishment.

Bernard Robaire honoured by Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR)

The Jansen Award recognizes an individual for their unselfish service and leadership in advancing the discipline of reproductive biology.

Dr. Robaire was recognized at SSR’s 2020 annual conference in Ottawa, Canada from July 9–12.
