Although the Sylvan Adams Sports Science Institute (SASSI) has only launched in August 2022, graduate fellowships have been allocated by SASSI to incoming students enrolled in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (DKPE) since 2020. This fellowship program aims to encourage thesis research that advances human sport performance. So far we have funded 17 students from all over the world.
Fellowship Categories
- Incoming Master’s students; $17,500 CAD/year for 2 years
- Incoming Doctoral students; $30,000 CAD/year for 3 years
- Incoming Post-Doctoral Fellows; $50,000 CAD/year for 2 years
Fellowship Applications
To apply, the student must have been admitted to a graduate program in DKPE, or have applied for admission into a DKPE graduate program. Applications are to be prepared together by the applicant and their intended supervisor. Exceptional cases may be considered (please inquire ahead of the application deadline).
