Young scientist and professor discuss research

Research

Biomedical research is at the heart of health care.

Our researchers develop the knowledge, interventions and technologies that address some of the most pressing challenges in medicine today. From identifying mechanisms to fight infectious diseases such as COVID-19, to tackling antibiotic resistance and monitoring biomarkers in cancer — we probe the underlying foundations of health and disease. Our researchers are affiliated with leading research centres and build their programs upon state-of-the-art core platforms. They work in multidisciplinary teams to develop targeted treatments that ultimately benefit millions of people around the world.
