Exams and Grading

File Electronic Gradebook
This electronic gradebook template is provided for your convenience. Built on an Excel spreadsheet, it complies with all the requirements necessary for grade submission to Instructors Services at the end of terms.

PDF icon Incomplete Marks Submission Form
Use this form to provide grading information for students who did not complete their final exam. It will be used by Client Services to calculate student(s) final grade once they complete the make-up exam.

Exam/Assessment Information Form
This form must be completed by all instructors at the beginning of the term to confirm if a final exam/assessment will be needed.

Policy on Assessment of Student Learning (PASL)


McGill’s Policy on Assessment of Student Learning (PASL) will come into effect in the fall of 2024. This new policy provides a set of common principles to guide the assessment of student learning. At its core, PASL seeks to ensure that assessment is equitable and consistent, and promotes effective learning experiences, a healthy learning environment, and academic integrity.
