In Student Services, we're all about supporting student development and holistic well-being. We provide tools and support, but there is only one expert on what well-being looks like for you - that's you!

Pathways to Well-Being

Your journey to well-being is personal and unique to you. If you feel the need for some support or guidance, we're here for you. How you access that support is up to you. You can view information and skill-building resources online, talk with a peer for guidance or connection, attend a workshop, group, or event, or get one-on-one support from a professional.

Many different aspects of our lives contribute to our well-being. It's helpful to identify various dimensions of wellness and cultivate them. What makes you feel content or fulfilled? Explore our "wellness wheel" to find out more.

Academic & Career Wellness

Academic and career components of the Wellness Wheel

These dimensions of wellness look at our ability to feel fulfilled and enriched through our work and education.  Are you making academic and career choices that align with your values, interests, and beliefs? Doing so can help achieve personal satisfaction.  In need of a boost? There are many resources to help you build skills that foster growth and improvement.

Social & Cultural Wellness

Social and cultural components of the Wellness Wheel

Social and cultural wellness is based on our ability to develop and maintain positive relationships. We can do this by establishing support networks, creating healthier relationships with family and friends, and by respecting and learning about cultural identities.

Spiritual Wellness

Spiritual component of the Wellness Wheel

Our spiritual well-being refers to our ability to find greater meaning and purpose in life.  Developing wellness in this area involves seeking a better understanding of our own personal beliefs and values, so that we can choose actions and behaviours that are consistent with them.  It's about feeling grounded and connected.

Financial Wellness

Financial component of the Wellness Wheel

Financial wellness is about budgeting effectively, not living beyond your means, creating short and long term goals, and planning for the future.  We can boost financial wellness by learning about available financial resources and building a budget.

Physical & Mental Health

Physical and mental health components of the Wellness Wheel

Physical and mental health are equally important aspects of well-being.  They describe our ability to take good care of our physical bodies, and our ability to understand, recognize, share, and manage our full range of feelings.  Strengthen your physical and mental health by engaging in self-exploration, developing ways to cope with stress or challenges, seeking support when needed, and by being active.
