Cultural Consultation Service (CCS)

Cultural Consultation Service (CCS) provides comprehensive assessment and evaluation of patients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including First Nations and Inuit, immigrants, refugees and members of ethnocultural communities.

Division members also offer research, clinical and professional consultation to a number of organizations and groups:

  • consultation and clinical services for ethnocultural minority populations, immigrants and refugees
  • work in conjunction with community organizations to develop basic and evaluative research on culture and mental health
  • international consultation through the WHO Cooperative Centre at the Douglas Hospital and through independent arrangements in other countries
