TIE Lab welcomes Emma, Lauren, and Jessica joining as undergraduate summer students.

Published: 22 May 2020

Summer 2020, Emma, Lauren, and Jessica join TIE lab as undergrad summer students. They will be participating in many research projects this summer. We believe that their intelligence and passion will support TIE lab during this challenging COVID period. Welcome!

It's time to know more about them:

Emma Baggio: My name is Emma and I am an undergraduate student in my second year of my BSc in Kinesiology. I am looking forward to working with the TIE lab as a summer student, assisting with research tasks and learning more about exercise interventions in the research process. My lifetime involvement in team sports, like soccer and volleyball, has allowed me to value the qualitative aspect of exercise and research as I believe it is just as important as physical skill for the success and dynamic of a team. My favourite pastimes are playing sports, listening to music and spending quality time with family and friends.

Lauren Saletsky: I just completed my second year in the kinesiology program here at McGill. Growing up I was involved in competitive gymnastics and diving, two sports that are very demanding both physically and mentally. I was drawn to the major because I’ve always been fascinated at how the human body is able to repair itself with proper assistance and care. I took interest in TIE lab and hope to contribute positively to its ongoing projects. In the future, I’d like to be able to help those with injuries or medical conditions heal and improve their quality of life through movement interventions. In my free time, I love exploring montreal on bike, painting and thrifting. I am very excited to be part of the TIE team!

Jessica Andersen: I’m currently an undergraduate student completing my BSc in Kinesiology. I am really looking forward to working with all of the members of the TIE lab and learning about various physical activity interventions and research methods. Health and fitness has always been a big part of my life. I have always loved being active and trying new sports and most recently I have been competing in soccer, cheerleading, lifesaving sport and beach volleyball. I also enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors and trying new foods.
