Support TAs in promoting assessment for learning

Introduce them to The successful TA: A practical approach to effective teaching (2022) (free PDF download).

  • Suggest they read Assessing student learning (Ch. 7).
  • Organize a “new TA” orientation in your unit this Fall (Appendix: Developing training opportunities for TAs).
  • Discuss assessment, feedback, and grading strategies described in the book with your TAs.
