Agribusiness Entrepreneurship

Can be taken as: Minor

The Minor in Agribusiness Entrepreneurship is designed to provide students with an understanding of the key concepts and processes involved in starting and managing new ventures in an agricultural or food business, including conceptualization, development and management of successful new ventures. It combines rigour with relevance as all students will complete a major project in the agri-food industry, thus providing an opportunity to apply the concepts acquired in the classroom. The minor is multidisciplinary and integrative, as it includes courses from across areas in the Faculties of Management and Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

This minor is appropriate for students interested in a wide variety of new ventures, from for-profit private companies to social enterprises and cooperatives.
