McGill strengthens finance education in Luxembourg

McGill University has launched its Master of Management in Finance in Luxembourg, strengthening connections between academic research and one of Europe’s leading financial centres.

Patrick Augustin, associate professor of finance at McGill Desautels and director of the McGill Luxembourg Centre for Finance, is helping lead the initiative.

Designed for working professionals, the part-time programme combines online learning with intensive in-person courses and practical experience managing a real investment fund.

Augustin says developing talent is essential to Luxembourg’s long-term competitiveness. By connecting Montreal and Luxembourg, the programme aims to prepare globally minded finance professionals while supporting research, innovation and international collaboration.
