Sabine Dhir

Dr. Sabine Dhir is an Assistant Professor (Professional) in Strategy and Organization at Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University. Her work sits at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and innovation in complex systems, with a particular focus on healthcare and other socially impactful domains.
She serves as Academic Director of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM), where she oversees the Integrated Management Student Fellowship (IMSF), an interdisciplinary, experiential program that brings together undergraduate students from across McGill to engage in applied research and community-based impact initiatives. Through this role, she designs and delivers leadership development experiences that emphasize reflective practice, systems thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
Dr. Dhir is also the Academic Director of the International Masters for Health Leadership (IMHL), an executive-level graduate program for physicians, nurses, and senior healthcare professionals from around the world. In this capacity, she teaches and works closely with participants to strengthen their ability to lead within complex, evolving health systems.
In addition, she serves as a Senior Fellow with the McCall MacBain Scholars Program, a globally competitive leadership scholarship, where she oversees and delivers leadership development programming for a diverse cohort of high-potential emerging leaders.
Her research focuses on how organizations navigate complexity, uncertainty, and change. She is particularly interested in emergent strategy, innovation arising from practice, and the role of leadership in shaping adaptive and resilient systems. Her current work explores the intersections of health systems transformation, climate-related challenges, and interdisciplinary approaches to management and leadership.
Dr. Dhir holds a PhD in Neuroscience and brings a cross-disciplinary perspective to her research and teaching, bridging insights from the life sciences and management.
