Many ACB students will choose to spend a semester or a year of their undergraduate degree studying at another university within Canada or at an international institution. This can be a great way to gain exposure to a new culture or language and to explore the academic opportunities offered by another university! The McGill Abroad website has detailed information on the places that you can go and the different options for a semester or year away.

Students interested in an exchange or independent study away are encouraged to start planning for this early in their degree, ideally during their U1 year, and U2 is usually the best year to take advantage of these options.

BSc students will apply for exchange or a study away through the Faculty of Science and should carefully review the information found on the SOUSA website about this.  Anatomy & Cell Biology students should also meet with the ACB program advisor during U1 to discuss these options and how they can fit within your program planning.

*Major and Honours students planning on studying at another institution in U2 are strongly recommended to complete ALL of the required U1 courses during their U1 year, in order to ensure that they can complete their program requirements on time.*
