There is a small library of text books in marine sciences, botany, zoology, climatology, tropical geography, and information on Barbados, together with a collection of published reprints and journals in the same fields. Computer access to databases within the McGill library system is possible via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service.
Other services such as rental cars, banks, telecommunications, and medical services are modern and readily available nearby. Supermarkets and department stores offer food and manufactured goods from around the world.
