I am Susan Rvachew, Professor in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at McGill University. I have been a researcher for over 20 years and a speech-language pathologist for over 35 years. I am a certified member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada and a Fellow of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. At McGill I teach courses about Phonological Development and Phonological Disorders in Children in the Applied Program. I am currently leading the school’s transition to a competency based approach to teaching, learning and assessment. My research is concerned with speech development and disorders, especially the development of more effective and efficient ways to treat children with phonological disorders. I am the author or co-author of over 60 scientific papers, a major book, and two blogs.
