Sources of funding and Collaboration

Apart from the publication of scientific articles and other contributions to the theory of information-systems technology, the Dairy Information Systems Group collaborates with the dairy industry to develop tools that can be of use in the every-day decision-making process. Our primary partner is the Programme d'analyse des troupeaux laitiers du Québec (PATLQ) which is situated on the Macdonald Campus. As an organisation having monthly contact with over 75% of Québec's dairy farmers (as well as being the major data-processing centre for Canada's dairy industry), PATLQ has been a leading source of data and expertise in our development of new software. They have, in turn, had the opportunity to use many of the resulting programs in the field.

The Infosys Group is grateful for the support it has received from various funding agencies.
