Interactive data visualization is aimed at improving human-computer interactions, by exploiting the bandwidth of the visual system and quickly identifying outliers and patterns that might not otherwise be obvious. While the concept of using graphics to illustrate numeric data is not new, the sheer amount of data (as well as easy access to multimedia as a form of presentation) will ensure that these methods become common place in the near future. Applications in the group include those related to breeding profiles and herd performance.
