Professor Liette Lapointe awarded honorary doctorate from Aix-Marseille University

McGill Desautels Professor Liette Lapointe has been awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from Aix-Marseille University, recognized for her contributions to information systems management and behavioural studies.

Throughout her career, Liette Lapointe has led as Vice-Dean of McGill Desautels Faculty of Management, Associate Dean Undergraduate Programs and Director of the Management Research Centre at McGill University. After being awarded the title of Desautels Faculty Scholar in 2020, she currently holds the Bronfman Chair in Information Technology Management.

Her research, which has been supported by grants from various Canadian, American and European scientific councils, has led to nearly 200 published articles, conferences and invited speaker engagements in management, information technology, medicine, and healthcare.

A key collaborator with Aix-Marseille University since 2010, Liette Lapointe has hosted doctoral students, and served as a visiting professor. This award recognized Liette Lapointe’s influence around the world and dedication to advancing teaching and research in information systems management.
