Undergraduate options

Currently, one undergraduate option is offered: the Bachelor of Education Kindergarten Elementary Education (Jewish Studies Option). This program, offered through the B.Ed. Kindergarten Elementary Education degree, is a four-year, 120 credit program training students to teach Jewish and general studies at the kindergarten and elementary level. Graduates of this option are certified as elementary school teachers by the Quebec government.

Students who wish to become teachers of Jewish studies at the high school level should apply to the 45 credit M.A. option upon completion of their undergraduate studies. Out of Province students applying to the B.Ed. Secondary degree may use their Freshman Year to train to be high school teachers of Jewish Studies. Students interested in this option should contact the eric.caplan [at] mcgill.ca (program director) .
