Longitudinal Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

Dr. Ann Clarke (Divisions of Allergy/Clinical Immunology and Clinical Epidemiology) and Dr. Christian Pineau (Division of Rheumatology)co-direct the Montreal General Hospital Lupus Clinic. The MGH Lupus Clinic is one of the largest and best-developed clinical registries for SLE in North America. It has served as the population base for some very important epidemiologic work on outcomes in SLE. Dr. Clarke, the senior director, has made substantial contributions to clinical lupus research; these have been recognized by the American College of Rheumatology with the prestigious Dubois Award. Dr. Pineau also has considerable experience in outcomes research in this population, and was the recipient of the Department of Medicine Clinical Innovations Award in 2007.
