Accessible by Design: Access in the Classroom

Wednesday, December 6, 2023 13:00to15:00

This workshop offers practical tips for increasing accessibility in teaching that instructors can implement while planning their courses. Instructors will discover that planning with accessibility in mind does not solely benefit students with disabilities, but provides support for a diversity of learners.

By attending this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify barriers that students with disabilities experience in various instructional settings (e.g. lectures, conference, discussions, exams)
  • Explore ways to facilitate and promote equitable access to learning
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accessibility in their teaching practice
  • Locate available tools and resources to support accessibility at McGill.

Registration is closed.
