Connect the data warehouse

In order to connect to the SIS data warehouse using Crystal Reports, complete the following steps:

1. Open Crystal Reports.
2. Select "Using the Report Expert" on the "Welcome to Crystal Reports" menu or Select "New" from the "File" menu.
3. Ensure that "Standard" is highlighted in the "Choose an Expert" menu and click on the "OK" button.
4. Click on the "Database" button from the "Data" tab on the "Standard Report Expert" menu.
5. Click on the "+" next to "More Data Sources" to expand the menu.
6. Click on the "+" next to "Oracle Server" and the "Oracle SQL" window will open.
7. Enter your Banner Userid in the User ID field, your Banner Password in the Password field, "banrep" in the Server field, and click on the "OK" button.

To choose a view:

1. Scroll through the list of views under the new "banrep" connection. The student views will have a schema prefix of "DWH".
2. Click "Add".
3. Click "Close".
