The Speech Motor Control lab is equipped with a variety of resources. In addition to its own facilities, the lab also has access to equipment provided by the Centre for Research on Brain, Language, and Music, and the Montreal Neurological Institute. Our resources include:
- a MAGSTIM Rapid, used for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and repetitive TMS
- 1.5 T and 3T MRI scanners, located at the MNI, used for both anatomical and functional neuroimaging
- an Articulograph AG500, which measures articulatory movements
- a Phantom Premium robot arm, used to perturb speech production
- 64- and 128-channel EEG equipment, used to record electrical activity in the brain
