Logo Contest

GUIDELINES

This contest is now CLOSED.
Winner will be announced here on April 15th.

A) Deadline for submissions: March 31, 2009.

B) Open to McGill students, alumni and staff (excluding project team-members). Group submissions will be considered (only one prize will be awarded).

C) Purpose for logo: to brand the Service POINT de service office. The logo will be used on internal/external signage and banners, promotional collateral (e.g. brochures), website, apparel, etc.

D) Format for submissions: 8 ½ x 11, paper or electronic file (PDF or JPG).

E) Evaluation criteria:

i. McGill colors (only red, white, black), as per Policy on use of of the Wordmark and Insignia of McGill University [.pdf]

ii. Must meet McGill University signage policy and guidelines. Logos must not be a modification of the McGill shield.

iii. Design submissions will not be returned, and become property of McGill University, which reserves the right to modify designs to suit publication purposes.

iv. Designs must respect the diversity of McGill University and be culturally and linguistically inclusive.

v. Designs protected by copyright or proprietary designs will not be considered.

F) Selection process:

i. Initial triage of design submissions will be conducted by the Integrated Services Project Working Group

ii. A ranking of design finalists will be conducted by a panel seven of students (current students and alumni) and McGill staff.

iii. The selection of the winning design will be conducted by the Integrated Services Project Working Group and with representatives from Development and Alumni Relations (DAR).

G) The Contest Winner will be announced by April 15, 2009.

H) Prize: $150 McGill bookstore voucher.
