When: May 22nd, 2019
Location: Rare Books and Special Collections, 4th Floor McLennan Library Building, 3459 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C9, CA

Description

Panellists Arik De Vienne of Épices de Cru, Dave Ferguson of Restaurant Gus, Oliver De Volpi, Executive Chef of McGill's Dining Services, and Susan Semenak, food writer, joined Julian Armstrong for a conversation on the role and flavours of Montreal's Public Markets.

ROAAr is a hub for discovery, connection and engagement – much like the marketplaces of Montreal, we are a meeting place for the exchange of ideas. The ROAAr collections can be consulted in the Rare Books and Archives Reading room Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

The interactive touchtable exhibition on Montreal Markets is available on the ground floor of the Mclennan library building during opening hours. Many thanks to photo contributors: Lauren Goldman, Merika Ramundo, Mary Yearl, Lisa Moffa, Susan Semenak, Jacquelyn Sundberg, Julie Giesbrecht, Elis Ing, BAnQ, Archives de la Ville de Montreal, and the McGill University Archives.

Supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada.
