Human participants in research

The Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at McGill University is committed to the promotion of the highest ethical standards for research involving human participants.

Ethics review and approval of research involving human participants must be obtained prior to the commencement of a project, this includes undergraduate class projects/assignments.

***Mandatory human research ethics training***

All McGill students (undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral), faculty and staff must have completed the Tri-Council Policy Statement2 TCPS 2: CORE-2022 (tcps2core.ca) online tutorial before submitting an application for review.  Supervisors of student applicants will also be required to complete the tutorial before submission for review.
