Biohazards Material

All research, testing and teaching programs involving the use of microorganisms or other biohazards must adhere to the standards outlined by McGill University's Laboratory Safety Committee. Approval from this Committee is required one month prior to the commencement of a new project or expiry date of a previously approved application. Work must comply with Health Canada's Laboratory Safety Guidelines which you will find in McGill's Biosafety Laboratory Manual. Application forms are available here, and once completed should be submitted to:

Radiation Safety

Approval from the University Laboratory Safety Committee is required for all activities involving the use, storage, transportation and disposal of radioisotopes in or on the buildings and grounds of McGill University. Researchers who propose to use radiation in their research should consult McGill's Radiation Safety Policy Manual for details and instructions. Radiation Safety forms are available here and once completed, should be submitted to:
