Director of the McGill Observatory on Health and Social Services Reforms

Dr. Amélie Quesnel-Vallée is a medical sociologist and a social demographer with postdoctoral training in social epidemiology. Her research examines the contribution of social policies to the development of social inequalities in health over the lifecourse. With funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, she currently studies the impact of public coverage and private health insurance regulation on general and mental health in select OECD countries.
