Alumna Henna Hundal on Climate Activity

Published: 12 June 2024

Our alumna, Henna Hundal, from the MPP Cohort of 2020-21, has been making significant contributions to climate change advocacy. Henna has been featured prominently in the media, addressing urgent environmental issues. As a delegate to the U.N. Climate Change Conferences, she recently discussed the influence of Big Oil on climate policy in an interview with CNN's John Vause, following the U.N. Secretary General's stark warning that the world is on a "highway to climate hell."

Henna also joined BBC's "Newsday" program to react to the latest developments in climate news. From extreme heat and rising sea levels to the rise of electric vehicles, the headlines emphasize that climate change affects us all and requires immediate action.

She further underscored the sever health impacts of extreme heat, often underreported, during her appearance on "America Tonight" on Scripps News. As the climate crisis intensifies, improving public health interventions has become more critical.
