From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Mix and Match: Technology and Policy for Canada’s Energy Future

In this panel event the Max Bell School brought together leading industry and policy experts from hydroelectricity, oil, nuclear, and renewables.

Shifting and complex, Canada’s energy sector occupies a critical role in the economy and politics of the country.

This event featuring leading industry and policy experts from hydroelectricity, oil, nuclear, and renewables was held September 16, 2019 in Montreal. Panelists included Patrick Bateman, Vice President of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs, WaterPower Canada; Allison Christie, Director, Clean Growth Hub; Kevin Stashin, President & Chief Executive Officer, NAL Resources, and John Stewart, Director of Policy and Research, Canadian Nuclear Association. The conversation was moderated by Max Bell School Director Chris Ragan.

Each panelist spoke to a slide they felt represented the successes and challenges of their respective industries.
